Tom Gerson is the Founder and Managing Partner at Blair Hall Advisors (BHA), which he established in 2013. Together with teammates and the support of client-friends, he has grown BHA into an established boutique wealth management firm.
Tom was educated at Princeton University, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in public policy and studied with former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker. He also completed an MBA at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. With more than 25 years of combined experience as a private investor and at leading Wall Street firms, Tom aspires to provide the highest-quality advisory relationship that each client has ever experienced—as discussed in our video.
Earlier in his career, Tom spent a decade in leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies, including Gap Inc. and Amazon.com, where he led product-management and technology teams to launch and scale some of the nation’s most prominent e-commerce businesses. He also held leadership positions at two Silicon Valley startups and worked as a strategy consultant at Booz-Allen & Hamilton and a boutique firm.
A proud graduate of New York City’s Ethical Culture–Fieldston Schools, Tom credits the schools and his parents with instilling his lifelong commitment to strong ethics, which continues to guide his professional and personal endeavors.
Tom is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, Certified Investment Management Analyst®, and a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®, under the auspices of well-regarded private organizations.
Tom, his wife, Shelly, and their children live in Seattle, while their hearts also belong to the East Coast. Although the kids are increasingly busy with school and music, Tom still relishes sharing his love of math, science, and Lego with them.
